The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) holds an annual adaptive-sports competition, the Warrior Games. 2024 marks the 14th anniversary highlighting the exceptional physical skills and mental toughness of wounded, ill and injured active-duty and veteran service members. Men and women representing the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard and U.S. Special Operations Command compete in a variety of adaptive sports.
In consultation with the Canadian Armed Forces Chain of Command (CAF CoC) and the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFWMS), Canada will not be participating in the U.S. Department of Defense Warrior games in 2024. This is primarily due to the 2024 Warrior Games and the 2025 Invictus Games falling in the same fiscal year. We will instead concentrate our resources to support the expanded Team Canada participation in the 2025 Invictus Games that are being hosted in Canada in February 2025.
